Welcome to CASA of Noble County

We recruit, screen, train and support community volunteers to advocate in the best interest of our children who are abused, neglected and dependent in our court system. We respond to the critical need for assuring a safe home for our community’s children.

CASA of Noble County is a Court Based Program under the direction of the Noble County Common Pleas Court Juvenile Division, Judge Kelly A. Riddle. Our Casa program is a certified program of Ohio CASA and National CASA, compliant with National CASA Standards. We currently have four active volunteers who are trained and supervised by the program’s trained facilitator / Volunteer Coordinator, according to the Standards as put forth by National CASA. CASA OF Noble County provides quality court-based advocacy for abused and neglected children. Children are referred to our program from a variety of sources including the juvenile court judges, attorneys, caseworkers, service providers, teachers and family members. CASA volunteers are matched to a case where their skills and training will benefit the children most. CASA volunteers work to get their child’s court case expedited in addition to helping the child they’re working with find permanency sooner.

VOLUNTEERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIFE OF A CHILD

A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a trained volunteer who advocates on behalf of the best interest of a child in the child protection system. Children in foster care have occasional court hearings where important decisions are made regarding their future – including educational and medical needs, visits with family, and, most importantly, where the children will ultimately live. Every adult in the courtroom has someone representing him or her. Who speaks up for the children? This is where a CASA volunteer comes in.

Casa of Noble County does not discriminate in the delivery of services or benefits based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, and age as well as sexual orientation and gender identity.
